A Geographic Information System (GIS) integrates computer hardware and software to manage and analyze geographic data. It allows users to visualize data in relation to geographic locations, making it easier to understand complex spatial relationships. North Kingstown's GIS website allows the public to request GIS maps and provide users of this site with a means for printing GIS maps in PDF format.

View our new Internet Mapping Server: AxisGIS

AxisGIS offers additional geographic information under the “Layers” tab. Examples include Zoning Map, Contours Map, Conservation Map, Flood Zone Group, Water Production Overlay Districts, and Wetlands Map. Users can also turn on different base layers (Ex. streets or satellite) by clicking the three lines at the top of the menu on the right side of the page and selecting Basemap.

Purchasing Data

GIS data and maps can be purchased through the North Kingstown Department of Information Systems by filling out the following form GIS REQUEST.
