IMPORTANT UPDATE RELATIVE TO COVID 19 VIRUS
March 13, 2020
In light of the COVID 19 Virus and in an effort to protect our community and work with our State and Federal Agencies to help control its spread, please take note of the following:
All Senior Center Operations and Programs, North Kingstown Library Programs and North Kingstown Recreational Programs will be cancelled. Our tentative date for resuming these activities is March 30th, however we encourage you to keep up to date via our website and Social Media Platforms as this tentative reopening date could change.
Monday Night’s (March 16th) Town Council Meeting is currently scheduled to take place at 7pm. We strongly discourage anyone who is sick, has an underlying medical condition or is 60 years or older from attending. We encourage anyone who chooses not to attend the meeting but wishes to provide public comment on any of the Agenda Items to send an email with brief comments to jalyward@northkingstown.org. Your email will be read by the Council President during the Public Comment portion of the Agenda. We also encourage you to watch the Livestream of the meeting on www.northkingstown.org.
The North Kingstown School System will be closed next week as all public schools throughout Rhode Island will be recognizing next week as “Spring Break”. Please visit www.nksd.net for more information.
We are encouraging and advising all residents and businesses to take advantage of the many services we provide in order to discourage visitors to the Municipal Office Building during this time. The following services are available:

Water Payments – bill payments (along with septic pump out/inspection receipts) can be dropped off in the drop box outside of the Municipal Office Building at 100 Fairway Drive. Water Bills can also be paid online through our website at www.northkingstown.org. Type the last name of the primary account holder into the data field and hit enter to access your individual account.
Closing readings for the Water Department in the form of a photo of the actual meter face for real estate sales can be emailed to jrainha@northkingstown.org or kroberts@northkingstown.org. You are also able to pose bill related questions via these email addresses as well.

Large documents must be sent via an FTP site or similar. * At this time digital applications may begin the review process but applications will not be considered complete until fee and required paper copies are submitted. You will receive a confirmation email that your emailed information has been received.

Court reporter fees and recording fees can be mailed to Planning Department, 100 Fairway Drive, North Kingstown RI 02852.
Payment of Taxes – you can make tax payments (and water payments) via a toll free # 1-877-690-3729 (jurisdiction code needed of 4914) if you have your 10 digit account number. We also have a payment drop box outside of our Municipal Office Building at 100 Fairway Drive.
Also, the Citizen Self Service Portal at https://northkingstown.munisselfservice.com/ allow taxpayers to make payments on all types of taxes as well as water(Utility) payments. You may also look up payment history information to assist with the your 2019 Income tax filings.
Some helpful tips for looking up various information on this portal include:
The bill year defaults to our current collection year of 2019 if you wish to search for a previous year you must change the default.
MV and PP tax searches – Enter ONLY the last name, no plate #, customer #, property ID etc.
RE tax searches – enter Parcel ID without the dashes, or enter address with the # and just the name of the road, example 123 Main Street would be searched as 123 Main
Utility Searches – same as RE Tax
