IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS
The Administration and Public Safety Officials of North Kingstown have been regularly briefed by the R.I. Department of Health and have been in regular discussions regarding the Coronavirus. The following is information in an effort to keep the community at large informed and prepared on actions they can take to reduce risks.

There are also many personal protective measures you can take.
- Stay home when ill
- Cover your cough – cough or sneeze into your elbow (or tissue)
- Wash hands frequently
- Practice touching your face less and limit contacts.
- Clean and disinfect door handles, push bars, railings, bathrooms, sinks.
- Use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean and disinfect countertops, tabletops, desks and other hard surfaces
- Clean and disinfect toys for children and areas of common contact
You are also encouraged to:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
- The CDC does not recommend that people who are not sick wear a facemask. You should only wear a facemask if a healthcare professional recommends it.
If you have recently traveled from an area with community spread of the Coronavirus and you have any symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) reach out to your healthcare provider and call ahead before going to a healthcare facility. Your provider will coordinate with RIDOH.
